WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. (January 16, 2024) - Scientists at the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and other partner organizations are closely monitoring the ground around Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, following Saturday's magnitude-4.0 earthquake.
Aftershocks Possible
According to the USGS, there is a 20% chance of one or more aftershocks with a magnitude of 3.0 or greater in the next week. The agency advises residents to be prepared for potential ground shaking.
